EMILY BAKER

EMILY BAKER, INTERN Emily understands how important it is to have someone in your corner through all seasons of life. In counseling, she believes that we must always return to these truths: You are valuable (Matthew 6:26) You are not alone (Joshua 1:9) You are cared for (Psalm 23) Her goal is to walk alongside those needing support in big life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress management, and prenatal and postpartum issues. She approaches counseling with person-centered and solution-focused techniques. Emily is in her final year of the Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Grand Canyon University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies at the University of Northern Colorado in 2017 and has been working with college student leadership teams for the past 5 years. She and her husband, Chris, are Colorado natives and welcomed their first child in April 2023. She enjoys getting outdoors, DIY projects, music, spending time with friends and family, and is an avid coffee connoisseur. Emily looks forward to hearing your story and partnering in your journey toward healing. Emily is currently working towards he licensure under supervision by Chris Bassett, LMFT here at Lighthouse Christian Counseling.
