Bob Weinkauf, MA
Robert believes we exist for a purpose; to develop our strengths and become the productive people we are intended to be. This is a lifelong journey, each person taking an individual road yet connected to others. Robert is a Northern Colorado native. He lived in different locations, most recently in Texas,
before returning to his home state in 2014. He received his MA in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from Chapman University in 1994. Robert’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where he studied psychology and business.
Following graduate school, Robert started a private practice. Over the years, he has utilized his skills in business settings, and as a volunteer youth leader and Stephen Minister. Robert has served dual roles in
Stephen Ministry as a caregiver and leader to train and supervise others. Robert takes an integrative style to therapy, using cognitive behavior, family systems, and intergenerational approaches. In understanding people as complex and individualistic, the need to use therapy techniques that apply to each individual is crucial to successful counseling. Robert works with families, couples, and individuals, including areas of anxiety, depression, communication, and relationships. He also has experience with
grief, divorce issues, and critical medical struggles. Bob has been married to his wife, Becky for 37 years. They have spoiled over a dozen nieces and nephews and a few dogs along the way. He attends Redeemer Lutheran Church where he is a Stephen Ministry Leader. When a person recognizes the need for help, it’s a quantum leap toward better mental health.
